How to: Dispose of your stationary items
We are doing our best to consider the life cycle of the pieces we create. Below we’ve broken down some of the materials that we use and how to dispose of them. This may help when choosing a product to fit your event. We will continue to update this information to remain transparent.
Ply wood signage - This material is durable, and versatile. It can be shaped to suit your vision, painted or stained to suit your colour theme, withstand weather variations and stand sturdy on its own for flexible placement at your event. Depending on your choice of design this may be kept to be displayed in your home or business to enjoy your sign for many years to come. The wood that we have chosen is sustainably sourced and manufactured.
Disposing of your sign- You can dispose of your sign with your local council depending on their policies, this will be highlighted on their website. If painted or stained it is considered ‘treated’ and may not be able to be recycled and be directed to landfill, which your council will be able to direct you to the correct location for the product.
Paper products - All the paper that we use is environmentally friendly and sustainably sourced and made. The quality of this paper not only produces beautiful stationary, but makes a beautiful addition to display in your home or business, and can be framed or hung.
Disposing of paper: This paper is recyclable in curb-side recycling. In some council areas paper can be shredded and disposed in your ‘food and garden organics’ bin, you can check your local council website for guidelines.
Wax seals - The wax seals that we work with are plant-based and do not contain any animal products. This means that they are biodegradable in landfill and will break down. The wax is flexible and durable, so it suits many functions, it also means that it can be removed from any and re melted, which turns it into a circular product.
Disposing of wax seals: If you do not wish to keep your wax seals for your own future use and would like to prevent them from going into waste, you can send them back to us. Simply send us an email and we will arrange to have them returned, they will be given a second life for another beautiful project.
Inks & paints - We use watercolour paints that have been handmade by a beautiful Australian maker from natural and sustainable materials. What does this mean? these will not harm the environment, from production to after use.
